Ongoing Book Sale Fundraiser

Dominican Mission Trips

What’s this about? At their own expense, student and faculty volunteers in Health Sciences travel to remote areas of the Dominican Republic each year to administer much-needed health care to local residents and Haitian immigrant workers.

Ontario Textbook Recycling collects and sells books contributed by faculty and administrators, and book sale proceeds go directly to trip coordinators for the purchase of medical and related supplies.

When? Ongoing

Who? College or university faculty and administrators with surplus books are invited to participate. Please email us for additional information and contact details of current coordinators for these programs.

What books are suitable? College and university books up to 5 years old. See fundraising textbooks for details.

How? Contact us for current drop off locations or to arrange for a pick up at your office or home. We pick up at most locations between Orillia and Lake Ontario.

Donations requiring a tax receipt

can be made through Rayjon Share Care Inc. a charitable organization in Sarnia,

Ontario, under whose umbrella the participants travel.
